Hi, I’m Frankie Walters.
Further down this page you’ll come across my first attempt at introducing myself on such an open platform. Quite a few things have changed since 2010.
Today I am a radio host alongside my partner in crime Anthony Salame, as the Virgin Radio Morning Crew on Virgin Radio Lebanon. Excuse the little free plug there!
I had stopped taking pictures for quite some time, and it was not until a trip to Sydney, Australia that I picked up my camera again. Most of the shots were happy snaps, but it has most definitely reignited my passion for photography.
On that note, I have transformed the blog slightly. In time, I’ll be adding a few pieces of civil journalism to accompany the photos I take.
Thanks for passing by! One Love.
I was previously completing my BA in Middle Eastern Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) before I decided to take a year out to fulfil my creative outlets. I am currently acquiring an ABC Diploma in Photography at the London College of Communication (LCC), of the University of the Arts, London.
Throughout my life I have been building bridges between the worlds that I come from, the Middle East and Europe. Being a child of Lebanese and British origin, I have finally found somewhat of a balance between the two cultures. I intend on portraying this through the photographic expressions, and the stories behind each image. As the saying goes, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” – Fred R. Barnard, at least! I endeavor to return to, and graduate from SOAS so that I may ensue a career in photojournalism. I hope to augment the similarities within and between varying civilisations; rather than amplify their clashes. In the meantime, this is my very first blog!! So take a look around, and share your thoughts. I’m sure I could do with some constructive criticism! Feel free to contact me via email address at email@example.com concerning prints or projects, or leave a comment somewhere on the blog. Enjoy!
